How to evaluate the state of economic freedom around the world?

To help answer this complex question, we used the data compiled by the The Wall Street Journal and The Heritage Foundation for their Index of Economic Freedom, and created a dataset than can directly be loaded into High-D. The Index covers 10 freedoms – from property rights to entrepreneurship – in 161 countries, available over time from 1995 to 2007.
