Filter to Concentrate on a Subset

To concentrate on a car or all the cars with a particular attribute or combination of attributes, filters can be applied.

There are two possibilities to define filters:

Define filters in the lists

Clicking on the little filter icon to the left of any list item activates the filter for that item. All the cars that do not have this item as an attribute are deactivated and can not be interacted with anymore. Their "ghosts" remain visible though and they appear greyed-out.

Additional filter criteria can be combined by simply clicking on the filter icon of other items in other lists.

To add filter criteria from the same list, hold down the [Ctrl]-button while clicking on the filter icon.

The filter can be reset by pressing on the Reset Filters button in the toolbar.

Define filters in the graphical view

Cars can also be filtered by using the range sliders in the graphical view at the bottom.

The range of an attribute can be specified by moving the handles on the top and bottom of the corresponding range slider. Cars whose value for that attribute falls outside of the specified range, are filtered out and can not be interacted with anymore. Their "ghosts" remain visible though and they appear greyed-out. Use a combination of range sliders to dynamically formulate complex queries.
